Old, recycled concrete is crushed, cleaned and recycled into aggregate. Recycled aggregate can be used as a subbase material, and can also be mixed with new and reused concrete to surface roads, pathways, driveways and walls and stepping stones. Another very useful form of concrete is used for building secure levy walls in dams and sea walls.
Our crushing equipment uses jaws and large impactors to crush the concrete. Once it’s broken up it is usually run through a second impactor and is then screened to remove particles and metal, as well as separating large and small aggregate.
